01Who we are
Avenir Technology Partners Limited controls the personal data described here. We are a company registered in England and Wales, number 14451481, with our registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
For anything about your data, write to hello@avenirtechpartners.com.
02Visiting this site
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, handles the technical details every web request carries, such as your IP address and browser, to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.
If you follow the Daily's RSS feed, we count your feed reader once a day by a hash of its network address and software, kept for eight days, to know how many people read the feed.
03The Daily
When you subscribe to the Daily, our AI briefing, we keep:
- your email address
- your company, if you give it
- whether you also agreed to hear from us about our services, the exact words you agreed to, and when
- when you asked to subscribe and when you confirmed
- a random code that lets the unsubscribe link find your record without carrying your address
We use these only to send you the Daily. A request you do not confirm is deleted automatically after 48 hours.
When you subscribe, Cloudflare's Turnstile checks in your browser that a person sent the form, and we pass your IP address to Cloudflare to confirm the check. We keep nothing from it.
To stop the sign-up being abused, we also keep a hash of your IP address for an hour and of your email address for a day, then delete it.
We do not track whether you open the Daily or click its links.
04Hearing from us about our services
We contact you about our services only if you tick the separate box when you subscribe. It is not needed for the Daily. To withdraw that consent without unsubscribing, reply to any email or write to hello@avenirtechpartners.com.
05Why we may use it
- The Daily, and contact about our services: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Protecting the sign-up and the site from abuse: our legitimate interest in keeping them secure and available.
- Counting the feed's readers: our legitimate interest in knowing how many people read it.
- Replying when you write to us: our legitimate interest in answering you.
06Who handles it for us
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site, stores subscribers' records and checks that sign-ups come from a person.
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) sends our emails.
Both are based in the United States and act only on our instructions, under data processing terms. Transfers are protected by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.
We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
07How long we keep it
- Your subscription: until you unsubscribe. Every email ends with a link to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes your address and everything kept with it at once.
- An unconfirmed request: 48 hours.
- The hashes that stop abuse: an hour for your IP address, a day for your email address.
- The feed count: eight days.
- Emails you send us: as long as we need to deal with them.
Resend keeps its own record of each email it sends, for the limited period its service retains them.
08Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can object to how we use it and withdraw any consent at any time. Write to hello@avenirtechpartners.com and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
09Changes
When what we do with personal data changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
